Agenda
이 프로젝트는 30인을 위한 호스피스를 제안한다. 15인을 위한 세 동의 거주 유닛이 두 개의 집합으로 구성되어 있으며, 이 두 세트는 공동으로 사용할 수 있는 커뮤니티 센터와 임종실을 공유한다. 삶과 죽음을 하나의 흐름으로 바라보며, 죽음을 통해 삶을 돌아보고 배울 수 있는 공간을 만들고자 했다. 이 곳은 환자와 가족, 의료진, 자원봉사자까지 모두에게 열려 있다. 죽음을 기피하거나 멀리하지 않고, 우리 삶 가까이에 자연스럽게 놓일 수 있도록, 그리고 무엇보다 가족의 방문이 쉽도록 도심 속 공원에 위치한다. 이곳이 삶을 마무리하는 사람에게는 집 같은 곳으로, 그 곁에 있는 이들에게는 죽음을 이해하고 받아들이는 계기로 작용하길 바란다.
This project proposes a hospice for 30 people, arranged in two clusters of three buildings each, with 15 residents per cluster. The clusters share a community center and a room for end-of-life care. Located in an urban park, the hospice is designed to integrate life and death naturally into everyday life. Open to patients, families, staff , and volunteers, it aims to feel like home for those nearing the end of life and off er a space for others to understand and accept death.

환자와 가족, 의료진, 자원봉사자가 사용하는 공간. 거실과 주방을 포함한 집 같은 구성이다. 두 개의 상담실과 하나의 도서관, 여럿이 사용할 수 있는 회의실과 라운지가 있다. 두 동의 호스피스가 공용으로 이용하는 곳이다.
This shared space is used by patients, families, medical staff, and volunteers. It has a home-like layout, including a living room and kitchen. There are two counseling rooms, a library, a meeting room for group use, and a lounge. It serves as a common area for the two hospice clusters.
1인실 두개가 묶여있는 구성이다. 두개로 묶인 방 세 세트가 작은 중정을 중심으로 엇갈려 배치되며, 그 사이는 목욕실과 여유공간, 공용공간으로 사용된다. 오래 걷기 힘든 환자를 위해 작은 중정이 있다. 오래 누워있는 환자를 위해 밖을 보기 편한 모서리창을 두었고, 눈이 피곤하지 않도록 천장에는 나무 루버와 간접등을 사용했다. 보호자의 방문시 접이식 침대 대신 사용할 수 있는 침대 겸용 의자가 있다.
Each unit consists of two single rooms paired together, with three pairs arranged around a small courtyard in a staggered layout. Shared spaces like a bathroom, lounge, and communal areas fi ll the gaps. The courtyard off ers nearby access for patients with limited mobility. Corner windows allow bedridden patients to see outside, and ceilings feature wooden louvers and indirect lighting to reduce eye strain. A chair that converts into a bed is provided for visiting caregivers.
각 동을 위한 임종실이 별도로 운영된다. 임종실 옆 가족 숙소와 별도의 주차장이 함께 있다. 임종실로 가는 길에는 천창이 뚫린 차분한 분위기의 공간을 마련했다.
Each building has a dedicated end-of-life room. Next to it, there is a family accommodation
and a separate parking area. The path leading to the end-of-life room passes through a calm, contemplative space lit by a skylight.
